Home Sweet Home Foundation was founded August 15th,
1985 by Mrs. Ofelia Flores de Sánchez in Mexico City. From the commencement the institution was consolidated as one of the
finest organizations in Mexico, offering support to children who are at risk due
to their social status.
It is an Institution of Private Assistance (IAP), a member of the Junta de Asistencia Privada
del Distrito Federal, a Government Agency
in Mexico City that is dedicated to ensuring that the IAP comply with relevant laws and verify that they provide quality
services under their established mission. Also, the Junta de Asistencia Privada ensures
transparent destination of the donations received by
the I.A.P.
Our home for 70 children with 22 years of experience offers support to displaced
children who are at risk due to their social situation, including shelter, nutritious meals, clothing, education, medical
attention and various recreational activities.
The children that arrive to Home Sweet Home Foundation come from the streets, temporary
shelters for battered woman and domestic violence, temporary shelters for the homeless and shelters for women with terminal
illnesses.
We diagnose each child incoming in order to design an individualized scheme for life based
on the following programs:
Psychology
Periodic valuations, diagnoses, treatments and therapies are made through updated scholastic programs.
Social
Area that develops the socioeconomic income study, proper channeling and personal follow
up visits and interviews.
Legal
Legal attention for each child’s personal needs according to their individual situation.
Medical, Health and Nutrition
Area of support for the children, the prevention of accidents, dental programs, control of immunization, medication,
nutrition and development.
Recreation and Artistic
This area is responsible for developing activities for the children that generate support and distraction.
